Referring a patient to Internal Medicine at Eden Veterinary Referrals is straightforward:

  • Step 1: Complete our online referral form, including patient history, current medications, and any relevant diagnostic results or imaging.
  • Step 2: Our referral team will contact the client directly to arrange an appointment and discuss case logistics.
  • Step 3: Patients are admitted as either day cases or inpatients depending on clinical requirements and the procedures planned.
  • Step 4: Investigations and treatment are performed by the dentistry team, with findings and recommendations communicated directly to the referring veterinary surgeon.
  • Step 5: Ongoing support and communication are provided throughout the case, including aftercare guidance and follow-up recommendations.

Dr Nicola Hoyle – BVM BVS MRCVS PgCertDent (WBIS)

Nicola qualified from the University of Nottingham in 2019 and has since completed a certificate in small animal dentistry.
She is passionate about providing high-quality dental care to improve patient comfort and quality of life, taking a calm and thorough approach with every patient. Nicola also enjoys working closely with owners to support dental care at home and believes client education plays an important role in maintaining long-term oral health.
Outside of work, Nicola loves spending time with her whippet, Minnie, who keeps her busy and makes sure life is never boring. She also enjoys keeping fit with reformer pilates and trips to the theatre whenever she can — with The Lion King being a firm favourite.

Emily Philip – RVN NCert (Dent)

Emily is a Registered Veterinary Nurse with a Nursing Certificate in Dentistry. She plays an important role within the dentistry team, supporting both clinical procedures and inpatient care for dental and oral surgery patients.
She has a strong interest in dental nursing, anaesthesia monitoring, and patient comfort during dental procedures. Emily is dedicated to ensuring high standards of nursing care and supporting smooth, efficient patient journeys through the referral service.
