  • Imaging can be accessed on a full referral or outpatient-only basis.
  • External specialist radiology reporting services are utilised for rapid, reliable interpretations.
  • Comprehensive thoracic, abdominal, and parathyroid scanning.
  • Ultrasound-guided sampling including fine needle aspirates and Tru-cut biopsies.
  • Gastroscopy for gastric ulcer diagnosis or foreign body retrieval.
  • Full endoscopy ± colonoscopy for differentiation of inflammatory vs. neoplastic conditions.
  • Equipment accommodates all patient sizes.
  • Rhinoscopy and bronchoscopy for nasal and pulmonary disease.
  • Biopsy, foreign body retrieval, and bronchoalveolar lavage capabilities.
  • Visualisation of the lower urinary tract for haematuria, ectopic ureters, or other suspected abnormalities.
  • Immediate on-site testing for most blood and urine samples.
  • External laboratories selected for specialised assays as required.
  • Comprehensive diagnostic staging using imaging, CSF/bone marrow sampling, and ultrasound-guided biopsies.
  • Treatment planning includes surgery, chemotherapy, or referral for radiotherapy.
  • Communication with specialist oncologists ensures evidence-based recommendations.
  • Referring vets can continue chemotherapy or cases can be managed entirely at Eden where appropriate.
  • 24-hour medical nursing and monitoring for critically ill patients.
  • Rapid diagnostics and interventions including oxygen therapy, transfusions, feeding tubes, and chest drains.
  • Central venous access, arterial sampling for blood gas analysis, and anaesthetic management for unstable cases.
  • Isolation and oxygen facilities are available, with dedicated owner communication support.

  • Step 3: Patients are admitted as either day cases or in-patients depending on case requirements.
  • Step 4: Investigations are performed by our internal medicine team, with results reported to the referring veterinary surgeon.
  • Step 5: Ongoing communication and support is provided to referring vets, including guidance on treatment options and case follow-up.

Kate Sloan – BVetMed (Hons) CertAVP(SAM) MRCVS, Advanced Practitioner in Small Animal Medicin

Kate Sloan graduated with distinction from the Royal Veterinary College in 2008. After four years in mixed and small animal practice, she focused on small animal medicine, completing her Certificate in Advanced Veterinary Practice (Small Animal Medicine) in 2016 and achieving Advanced Practitioner status.

Prior to founding Eden Vets and Eden Veterinary Referrals, Kate worked in several Tier 3 referral hospitals managing complex internal medicine cases. She has a particular interest in emergency and critical care and is experienced in managing high-pressure medical cases.

Eve Dearden – BVSc CertAVP(SAM) MRCVS, Advanced Practitioner in Small Animal Medicine

Eve Dearden graduated with distinction from the University of Liverpool in 2013 and completed her Certificate in Advanced Veterinary Practice (Small Animal Medicine) in 2019, achieving Advanced Practitioner status.

Eve has worked in busy small animal hospitals across Cheshire and the West Midlands before co-founding Eden Vets & Eden Veterinary Referrals. She has a particular interest in diagnostic imaging, including ultrasonography and endoscopy, which she uses to investigate complex internal medicine cases.
